new message stuck in the Outgoing messages box
Hi all,

I've just downloaded and installed Xnntp beta 04., then eta 05. Beta 04. apparently failed to download groups for a couple of NNTP servers I've tried with. This task was perfectly done by beta 05. but when I tried to post a new message to this forum the process fails. It tells me that something is going wrong, but no other information.

By the way, I'm trying to read the readme file coming with beta 05., but all I can see is an empty file.

MacBook running Tiger 10.4.7 over here.

Any input will be welcome!!!!

Best,

Ricardo

If there is a problem with the direct sending of your message it is mostly because the server closed the connection. Xnntp asks you if it should try to send it later. If you say yes, your message is send to the server when there is a connection ( it will try to open a connection every 3 min). If you say no the you are asked if you want save it as draft.

By the way, I'm trying to read the readme file coming with beta 05., but all I can see is an empty file.

Ups, i will check this - thank you for the hint.

Sorry, Florian. I keep trying to send messages with the Xnntp client but it always fails. The Internet connection is OK. I fact, I am writing this message and trying to post the message with the client at the same time.

Any idea? Thanks!

Florian

The last build uploaded today solved this issue. Thanks again.

Best,

Ricardo
