Observation is not working correct after restart
Hello Friends

I found a bug. The observation of messages is not working correct after restart. I will try to fix it in the next hours/days. I will post here when I fixed that.

Hi,

I'm guessing once we install the updated release, to delete
/Users[username]/library/Xnntp is not needed, is it?

Thanks!

Correct !

Thus, will any update destroy the users' preferences?

No. That will not happen without any comment from me. I always will try to keep things compatible or import old content.

Thanks, Florian.

But in this case I feel myself a bit lost. I've I update Xnntp with the
new release you have built on Sunday early afternoon, must or must not
delete /Users[username]/library/Xnntp to get the system fully updated?

Please, accept my apologies you have already explained it. Thanks.

Best regards,

Ricardo

You mean to correct the labeling of a folder. These are corresponding with the folder names on the disk. There would have been a different way by renaming it manually and loose only the content of the sent messages folder.

I'm afraid I/we am/are messing a couple of thing here :-)

This thread starts with a message from you "Observation is not
working..." As far as I understand, you have built a new Xnntp client
on Sunday that correct this issue. So, my question here is concerning
this topic, is it enough to reinstall Xnntp to get the new version?
Must I delete the personal folders? I'm guessing it is enough to
reinstall it (the folders' name issue is a completely different
problem!)

Sorry if I'm messing you!

Cheers,

Don't delete something until I tell you you have to.
